Collection: Portable Power Station

OHMU's portable power stations are compact LiFePO4 battery packs with AC outlets, USB ports and 12-volt DC output, ranging from a 100-watt unit sized for airline carry-on rules to 600-watt stations with enough capacity to run a CPAP overnight, keep laptops and phones charged on a camping trip, or bridge a power outage at home. Most accept solar panel input for recharging off-grid, and all of them are universal, so they ride along in any truck, SUV, RV or tent.

Each station ships free to any US address from our warehouse in Fontana, California and arrives in 2 to 7 days. Each is covered by OHMU's 1-year warranty, you have 90 days to return a unit that does not match your needs, and our US-based support team can help you size a station for a specific appliance before you order.

What to look for

  • Watt-hours tell you how long, watts tell you what. Divide the station's watt-hour capacity by an appliance's draw for a rough runtime, then knock off about 15 percent for inverter losses.
  • Check the surge rating, not just continuous output. Anything with a motor or compressor, such as a 12-volt fridge or a pump, pulls two to three times its running wattage for a moment at startup.
  • Look at the ports and the recharge options you will actually use: a pure sine wave AC outlet for CPAPs and electronics, USB-C power delivery wattage for laptops, and whether the unit charges from a wall, a vehicle 12-volt socket and a solar panel. Listings marked solar optional do not include the panel.
  • LiFePO4 cells trade some weight for a much longer cycle life and better tolerance of heat than older lithium-ion chemistries, which is why every station here uses them.

Frequently asked questions

Can one of these run a CPAP through the night?

Usually, if you size it right. Most CPAP machines draw far less with the heated humidifier off, and a DC power cord for your model avoids inverter losses. Check the wattage label on your machine, multiply by the hours you sleep, and pick a station with comfortable headroom above that figure.

Will the station recharge from my truck's 12-volt socket?

Yes, the included car cable charges it while you drive, though far more slowly than a wall outlet. Only charge with the engine running so you do not drain the starter battery, and expect a full recharge of a larger unit to take most of a day's driving.

Can I bring a portable power station on a plane?

Airline rules allow lithium batteries up to 100 watt-hours in carry-on without special approval, which covers only the smallest unit in this collection. Larger stations cannot fly, so for travel beyond driving distance, plan on the small one and check your airline's policy before you go.
